User Story
SketchUp is a leading 3D design software used by professionals in architecture, construction, engineering, and other fields. Their desktop applications require robust crash reporting to maintain the reliability their professional users demand.
“BugSplat isn’t just a service provider—they’re a true partner in our success. Their dedication to solving problems goes beyond what I’ve experienced with any other vendor.”
As a DevOps Engineer responsible for automating debugging symbol uploads for SketchUp’s desktop client, I’ve had extensive experience working with the BugSplat team. What stands out most is their commitment to customer success and rapid problem-solving approach.
When we were struggling with automating debugging symbol uploads, the BugSplat team recognized our challenges and invested significant development effort to create custom executables for both our Apple MacOS and Microsoft Windows build agents. These data transfers in our CI/CD workflows are now performant and reliable, allowing us to focus on other priorities.
Their exceptional customer service has been demonstrated time and again. On one occasion, their Founder, Dave, interrupted vacations plans to spend several hours resolving an SSO issue with our team. Similarly, their ability to release fixes at a staggering pace—often within hours—left a lasting impression. BugSplat has become an essential part of our pre and post-release product QA, enabling our current release cadence by removing the burden of in-house debugging setup and maintenance from our developers and QA staff.
I ❤️ BugSplat. They’re continuously improving their backend architecture to scale with our growing needs, truly contributing to our overall success.
